Breeding: How to create a unique duck
By “breeding” two ducks, you get a duckling that can then be raised into an adult duck with a combination of genes of its parents. Choose parents with diverse genes to increase the chances of producing a rare duck.
Each duck can be used for breeding only once, and after that it becomes “sterile.”
You will need
Two ducks with “Can breed” attribute. Ducks of any generation will do, except for the youngest (for now, it’s Obstinate). You can find breedable ducks in the marketplace or raise them from ducklings.

Select parent ducks. Сlick Breed! and sign the transaction.
You will find a new duckling in My farm → Ducklings section.
What you will get
The duckling obtained by breeding is labeled “Non genesis”, and no feed limit is set for it. By raising such a duckling, you will get an adult NFT duck that inherits the gene for each attribute from one of its parents with a 50% probability. For example, if you breed Drama Queen with the KKKKKKKK genes and Ō Sensei with the LLLLLLLL genes, you may get ducks with genotype KKKLLLLL, KLKKKKKK, KKLLKLKL, etc.
The rarity of a duck is an indicator of its uniqueness:

R is the duck’s rarity,
N is the number of ducks of the same generation, with the same genes, excluding their order. The background color of the duck is not taken into account.
For example, for the Hero generation duck with a genotype of KKKLLLLL, the number of Hero ducks with 3 K genes and 5 L genes in any order is counted. This category also includes ducks of LLLLLKKK, LLKKLKLL, and others. If there are only 25 such ducks, the rarity of the new duck is ⅕, which is 20%. The rarer duck is, the more Waves Ducks EGGs it can bring in farming and the higher its value in the marketplace. The rarity of a duck may change over time.
The background color of a new duck is chosen randomly.
The bred duck belongs to the generation following the generation of the youngest parent:
Genesis + Genesis = Hero
Hero + Hero or Genesis = Ideal
Ideal + Ideal, or Hero, or Genesis = Knight
Knight + Knight, or Ideal, or Hero, or Genesis = Lord
etc.
💡 Hint. To get a duck of the Ideal generation, you can breed Genesis + Genesis to get Hero, then breed Hero + Genesis. It's cheaper than crossing two Heros.
