Incubator: How to hatch a duckling and grow adult NFT duck
In the incubator, you can exchange your Waves Ducks EGG token for a duckling that can be raised into a Genesis NFT duck. You will be able to breed the duck with another one, play Metaverse games with the duck, or put it on a perch to farm EGGs.

You will need
1 Waves Ducks EGG or vEGG token. How to get EGGs
0.015 WAVES or 0.0075 EGGs to pay transaction fees on the blockchain. You can choose another fee token before signing the transaction.
Step by step instructions
Log in to Waves Ducks. You will see the number of EGG in your account in the upper right corner. How to log in
Click Buy for 1 EGG and sign the transaction.
You will find a new duckling in My farm → Ducklings section.
What you will get
You will get a duckling that can be raised itno one of the available ducks of the Genesis generation:
Ō Sensei with the genotype of LLLLLLLL
Cough Duck with the genotype of MMMMMMMM
Vibing Duck with the genotype of NNNNNNNN
Brokie Duck with the genotype of OOOOOOOO
The probability of producing each of the ducks above is 25%.
The set of available genesis ducks updates over time: new types of ducks are added and the old ones are removed. This rule ensures that every gene in the game is limited, which raises the value of genesis ducks. For example, Satoshi (BBBBBBBBBB) and Pepe (GGGGGGGG) ducks are no longer available in the incubator: you can only get them in the marketplace for WAVES.
Duckling: How to grow adult duck from baby
You can get a duckling from an incubator, by rebirth, or by breeding two ducks. The duckling needs to be fed to mature into a duck
2 × the amount of SPICE from eggs that the duckling owner opened themselves;
1/2 × the amount of SPICE that the duckling owner received from eggs opened by other players.
Imagine you opened 2 golden or purple eggs and got 0.7 SPICE for that. At the same time, other players opened 3 eggs laid by your ducks, and your reward was 0.34 SPICE. In total, you received 1.04 SPICE and your feed limit is: 2 × 0.7 + 1/2 × 0.34 = 1.57 SPICE.
A duckling resulting from breeding will belong to the generation following the generation of the youngest parent. The cost of raising a duckling depends on its generation:
Hero — 20 SPICE
Ideal — 30 SPICE
Knight — 40 SPICE
Lord — 50 SPICE
Magical — 60 SPICE
Natural — 70 SPICE
Obstinate — 80 SPICE
Such a duckling comes without any feeding limits to your in-game activity.
You will need
Any duckling. If you don't have a duckling, get one at the incubator for 1 EGG or vEGG. ⓘ If you have vEGGs, they are spent first. If your vEGG balance is not enough to pay in full, the missing portion of the cost is paid in EGG.
SPICE to feed the duckling. You can get SPICE as a reward in Waves Ducks Hunt, gather from daily quests, produce by turtles, or just buy
WAVES or EGG to pay transaction fees on the blockchain. You can choose another fee token before signing the transaction.

Log in to Waves Ducks. How to log in
In the main menu, select My farm.
Switch to the Ducklings tab. Select the duckling you would like to feed
Specify the amount of food: enter the number or move the slider.
💡 You can gather extra tokens by feeding your duckling over 10 tokens at once through daily and weekly tasks!
Click Grow up to N and sign the transaction.
What you will get
A fully-fed duckling can be turned into a duck. You can use the duck for breeding, farming EGG, in Metaverse games, and also exchange for WAVES in the marketplace.
