Overview

Turtles are an adorable class of playable pets and faithful farmer's helpers that generate income in SPICE tokens. There are only five genesis turtle's genes and many varieties of mixed by breeding ones, which you can meet on players' farms or listed on the marketplace!

Genesis turtles have the following genes:

Farming: how to start producing SPICE tokens

Turtles have the unique advantage of passively earning SPICE for their owners. The amount of rewards pool is dynamic and formed from spent by the players SPICE tokens on the ducklings feeding. It works simply: all turtles earn shares of spent SPICE depending on their farming power once someone fed his duckling! The turtles farming power depends on the amount of unique genes in their genotype

How to send the turtle on farming

You will need an idle turtle. Just click on it and then select "farming":

💡 If you don't have the beach yet, you need to buy it for 2 EGG or 1 EGG + 1 vEGG (can be payed 50%) tokens to start earning SPICE tokens

Congratulations! You have successfully sent your turtle on farming and can freely unstake it anytime! The acquired claimable SPICE rewards displayed on your farm on the turtle's page:

How to hatch a turtle

Now there are four genes in the Turtles Incubator:

The turtle hatching price is progressive and increases with each newly hatched turtle according to the following formula:

You will need some EGG tokens and 0.015 WAVES to pay for a transaction fee.

Visit the turtle incubator or follow the direct link

Then press on the "buy a turtle" button. Confirm the transaction

Congratulations, your turtle hatched! Wait a few minutes while your turtle basks on the sand and then appears on your farm!

Breeding: how to get a unique turtle

By breeding turtles, you will get more rare with a higher SPICE production. As for the ducks, genotype determines the appearance, uniqueness, and power stats of the NFT! The more genes a turtle has, the higher its SPICE production. You will need 2 "can breed" turtles, 1 EGG token, and 0.015 WAVES to cover the transaction fees.

Select two turtles that you want to breed to get a better one

You can check the probabilities of getting each possible genotype after you select the turtles. During the breeding, genes can be passed on from parent turtles with a 50% probability.

Finally, press the "Breed!" button to start the process. Congratulations! In a few moments, a new turtle will appear on your farm!

How to buy turtles on the marketplace

You can exchange turtles for WAVES on the marketplace. Here, you can find the best matches to breed new ones or sell turtles for tokens to use on your farm. To visit the marketplace, click the "basket" icon on the in-game sidebar menu, as shown in the screenshot:

How to buy a turtle cheaper than the instant price

Also, you can place bids for turtle offers, but please note that unlikely someone approve the bid if it's already the lowest price, so it makes sense to deal on the auction for exclusive and expensive lots!

To start the auction, click on the turtle that you wish to buy

Here we see that the turtle owner is allowed to place bids starting from 0.1 WAVES. Click "Make a bid" and enter the number of tokens that you are suggesting to the turtle owner

Then approve it by clicking "Make a bid" and confirm the transaction. Now the bid order appears on the marketplace!

How to cancel a bid?

You can cancel a bid at any time or wait until the turtle owner considers the best offers or someone buys this turtle for a higher price. Scroll the turtle's page down and find out your bid. Press on "Cancel" to request your tokens back:

💡 Your bid will be returned to your balance if the owner changes his mind about selling the turtle that we made a bid and cancels the listing

How to list a turtle for a sale

It's always sad when we say goodbye to our favorite game characters. Please carefully consider the decision and set a fair price!

Follow the turtles tab on your farm and select the idle one you desire to list for sale. Click on it

Press on the "trade" button

Submit the initial price for bids offers and set the buyout price. Click "Start auction"

How to accept a bid or remove a turtle from a sale

You can check placed bids on the turtle's page. You can accept it if someone places a bid that satisfies your appetites. Click "accept the highest bid" to make a deal:

You may get a nice turtle for breeding or want to get it back on a beach and need to return a turtle from the marketplace. Just click on your turtle placed for a sale and then press on "Remove from the market" to get back a turtle on the farm
