Farming: How to produce EGGs

You will need

Any duck, except those who are in the marketplace, Duck Wars, D uck Hunt or other games of Metaverse.
A perch of the same background color, or 1 EGG or vEGG to exchange for a perch. ⓘ If you have vEGGs, they are spent first. If your vEGG balance is not enough to pay in full, the missing portion of the cost is paid in EGG.
WAVES or EGG to pay transaction fees on the blockchain. You can choose another fee token before signing the transaction.

Step-by-step instructions

Log in to Waves Ducks
In the main menu, select My farm.
Click on the picture of the duck you want to send to farming.
On the duck card, click Farming. The button displays the duck's estimated farming reward.

If you don't have a perch with a suitable background color, click Send to farming for 1.0 EGG and sign the two transactions: buying EGG and sending the duck to farming. If you already have the suitable perch, just click Send to farming and sign the transaction.

What you will get

To observe your ducks that are put on perches, on My farm tab click All statuses and select On Farming. The EGG counter below each duck updates every minute, showing your increasing number of EGGs. You can claim EGGs at any time; the minimum amount is 0.01 EGG.

Total farming statistics for all your ducks is displayed on the My Farm tab. You can see the farming statistics for each duck in the duck card.

How the farming is working

The farming power of your duck is calculated based on the number of unique genes it has, its rarity, and the date you sent the duck to farming. The farming ratio of your ducks is gradually decreasing over time

The mechanics under the hood incentivize you to send new ducks to farming, as recently sent ducks have a higher farming power ratio. For example, if you send your duck to farming today and send the equal duck after 90 days, your deprecation factor will be many times less + higher farming power

You may wonder why send ducks into farming now. The early bird gets the worm - the initial farming pool is empty, making it more lucrative for early adopters. 40 Waves Ducks EGG tokens are distributed during the day. The distribution takes place once a minute. The total amount of reward is allocated to ducks on perches in proportion to their farming power:

How the farming reward is calculated

For example, you want to send a duck with 2 genes to the farming:

POW = (1.5* 1.5 ... [for each unique gene] * 100)

Multiplier = (block when you sent the duck - current block height) * 100 / number of passed blocks after the sending

Final Power = POW * Multiplier / 100

And the final farming power will be = Final Power * rarity / 100 = current FP

How to replenish the farming dApp

Sometimes, the $EGGs on the main dApp balance may run out. In this case, you will get an error with the following text:

If you face this error while attempting to claim the accumulated EGGs from farming, you can manually call the reserve dApp to replenish it and receive 0.01 EGG tokens as a bounty!
